Long weekend brought revenue of almost USD 20 million to domestic tourism

The Tourist Observatory of the Senatur, with the support of other entities, released the figures that account for the significant movement of visitors registered during the weekend that was from April 29 to May 2.

The data provided shows a total income generated by tourism of USD 19,195,000.

According to data from the Asunción Bus Terminal (TOA), the movement of people from the capital to the interior of the country represented revenues of approximately USD 2,940,000.

Regarding the vehicular movement in the toll booths established in the national territory, the displacement reached the figure of USD 16,255,000, according to data provided by the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC).

This positive experience of the recent long weekend adds to the successful Holy Week, whose global income exceeded expectations, creating the tourism value chain, and offering greater bargaining power to tourism providers.
