The rector of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), Leonardo Lomelí Vanegas, met with the Minister of Education of China, Huai Jinpeng, to establish a new stage of cooperation between universities, the highest house of studies reported.
In the Rectory Tower, Lomelí expressed the desire to deepen UNAM’s relationship with the Asian nation. We are very interested in increasing mobility, academic exchange, as well as scientific and cultural collaboration projects.

He recalled that that nation has a long history of academic collaboration with the university and expressed his confidence in expanding and deepening the various areas of operation already established between both instances.
For his part, Minister Jinpeng stated: We need to do more to promote the exchange of international students and establish suitable scholarships for students
because that is going to play an important role for educational cooperation. Meanwhile, he added, we must also design more joint research projects.
