Think about lollapalooza It’s thinking about big stages, top-level music and three days of partying, but it’s much more than that. And one of the relevant points that stood out in our journey through the Cerrillos Bicentennial Park was the enormous number of entrepreneurs and ventures that converged during the three days of music.
In this new version of Lollapalooza 2022 there were hundreds of activities and activations that allowed the public to enjoy a virtuous “Side B” whose high point was linking entrepreneurship with ecology, therefore you could buy crafts, design products, learn about green startups or get involved in a sustainable.
From small new green businesses that have clustered in the green villageeven consolidated international companies that raised large meeting points, all showed the best of their work to take advantage of reaching a massive audience that filled the three days in the stands that were distributed throughout the venue.
Entrepreneurs had a sector especially dedicated to them in Lolla undertakes.
Challenge let’s raise Chile in LollaCL
Although it is impossible to say that one activity or one stand was more or less liked than another, we want to highlight one that caught our attention precisely because it was made up of different voices and proposals that, together, put together a virtuous circle in which design and respect for the environment shook hands in the best way.
In the Lolla Emprende sector we talked with Francisco Jaquezwho is the Entrepreneurship and Sustainability Coordinator of Levantemos Chile Challenge and told us that the participation of artists in Lollapalooza is always essential.
In this regard Francisco says: “The entrepreneurship and sustainability area of the Fundación Desafío Levantemos Chile has been present in the 10 versions of the lollapalooza festival with the intention of providing our sustainability-oriented entrepreneurs with a sales platform and, above all, a showcase that contributes to the growth of their businesses and which they could not access on their own”.
You have to think that Lollapalooza was not only a space in which the mass public could return to the great recitals, but it was also a place of reactivation for hundreds of businessmen and entrepreneurs who met again with the public that came en masse to the Bicentennial Park, since the official figures accounted for an average of 75 thousand people for each of the three days, which gives a total of 225 thousand people in the three days.
This reactivation impulse was also one of the great motivations of those who came to the stand of Levantemos Chile Challenge.
“We feel very good to be able to give this opportunity again to our entrepreneurs who have gone through a couple of years of great difficulty, due to the pandemic, so this instance took on a special meaning this year, due to its importance in the rebirth of the participating enterprises”.adds Jaquez.
Reused skates, ecological crafts and author designs
The artists gathered under the eaves of Levantemos Chile Challenge They caught our attention for the authenticity and creativity of their proposals.
The first thing we saw when we arrived were the remains of broken skateboards on the floor and, next to them, a beautiful painting made with pieces of broken boards at the hands of Juan Carlos and Daniawho created Rubruma company that in its own words has the mission of “saving the life of old skateboards” to bring them back as pieces of art and as fantastic accessories.
Hoops, cutting boards, rings, planters… the list is long.
And the amazing thing is that each of his creations uses boards as raw material that once walked the streets and skateparks until they broke, only to be useful again thanks to the work of Juan Carlos and Dania converted into artistic objects that are unique and unrepeatable.
Amazing.

Trolef Kuram
Jimena Faundez and Michelangelo Gerbier they arrived at Lola with Trolef Kuram to show new art made with recycled organic elements. Thus, with egg shells, bones, copper, wood and Picoyo (Mapuche amber) they make high-level jewelry.
Natives of the municipality of Pelluhue this couple of artists creates works and accessories with raw materials that come from nature.
Some raw materials, such as Picoyo, are completely natural because they are collected from nature, however others, such as egg shells, or cow bones, are born from the reuse of animal products that are derived from consumption and that usually go thrown away but in the hands of Jimena and Miguel Ángel, they come back to life turned into art.

My Way Eco Bag
And if we talk about intelligent design, the bags of My Way Eco Bag They are an impeccable example of how something that we would normally classify as “ugly” can be reused because they are old tents, banners, torn clothes, to achieve unique pieces, full of style, and with surprising functionality and durability.
the company of Juliana Mierez uses unused tents, canvas and work clothes and transforms them into super resistant bags to which he adds strong fonts that combine in a very simple look, but at the same time stylish.
The most surprising thing is that it is a very good example of how, through reuse, you can generate products that are more durable than those that preceded them, only with creativity.
Without a doubt, it is the bag you want to have for, literally, the rest of your life.

Lollapalooza and entrepreneurs
I believe that when it comes to taking stock of what this lollapalooza You have to think that it wasn’t just three days of music and partying. But it also marked a blow of vitality for a music industry deeply affected by the restrictions and show eliminations, which have occurred since the beginning of 2020 to date.
Lollapalooza was also a respite for hundreds of entrepreneurs who, like the ones we saw in this example of Levantemos Chile Challengethey were able to return to public life and resume contact with the public to show their creations and their art.
applause for LollaCL and standing applause for these entrepreneurs who work making art and design from where others only see waste or disused materials.
