A total of 41 lobsters, which did not have the right size for commercialization, were seized by units of the Environmental Police in conjunction with officials from the Aquatic Resources Authority of Panama.
This confiscation occurred through an operation carried out in the district of Pacora, where two citizens who were transporting these sea species, aboard two vehicles, were verified by the uniformed men and taken before the corresponding authorities for their respective procedures.
The head of the Environmental Police, Major Elvin Ortíz, indicated that these species cannot be commercialized if they measure less than 10 centimeters and are in the molting stage.
The Environmental Police and the Aquatic Resources Authority of Panama indicated that they join forces to prevent the removal of shellfish when they do not meet the size and guarantee the sustainability of maritime resources.
