The Diario Correo fulfilling its role of offering citizens impartial and timely information so that they can make a correct decision during the elections on October 2, will organize four debates that will be divided for the candidates for mayor of Huancayo, El Tambo and Chilca ; as well as for the regional government of Junín, within the framework of the 2022 Regional and Municipal Elections.

The debates begin today, September 2, with the participation of the candidates for mayor of Chilca and there will be the participation of the candidates of 10 political organizations that are still in the electoral race. The event will be held in the auditorium of the College of Public Accountants of Junín, located at Av. Las Flores No. 385 Urb. Los Jardines de Chorrillos-Huancayo.

The candidates will debate on three thematic axes:
- Citizen Security and Transport
- Informality and Economic Reactivation
- Fight against Corruption
September 9 will be for the candidates for the district of El Tambo; on September 16 for the candidates for the province of Huancayo, and on September 23 for the candidates for the Junín region.
