Today, October 24, the Supreme Court, will elect the new president of the JNational Election Committee replacing the judge Jorge Salas Arenaswho will remain in office until November 21. In this context, Javier Arévalo, current president of the Judiciary, decided that the start of this electoral process will begin at 12:30 pm. The favorite to occupy this position is Roberto Burneo, who, if elected, would remain until 2028 and will be in charge of organizing and supervising the 2026 general elections.
