This Saturday, November 30, from 6 pm, the Plenary of Congress will debate the Budget Bill for fiscal year 2025. On the agenda for this session are Bills 8758, 8760 and 8759, related to the budget and general account of the Republic.
Yesterday, Friday the 29th, Plenary approved the bill with 87 votes in favor which extends the Comprehensive Mining Formalization Registry (Reinfo) for one year. This rule will allow artisanal miners to continue their formalization process until December 2025, granting the Executive the power to extend the deadline through a supreme decree.
The amount proposed for the 2025 public budget amounts to S/251,801 million, representing an increase of 4.5% compared to the initial opening budget of 2024. This opinion was approved by the Budget Commission on November 25 and its debate is expected final in Plenary to define next year’s assignments and priorities.
