This December, the train announced that its route will have a unique style, designed for those who want to live a different experience while traveling through the Savannah.
Ideal for weekends or holidays, this tourist train connects the capital with Zipaquirá and allows you to enjoy a round trip ride on the same day, perfect for those who want to make the most of their time.

Schedules and route
Regular Sabana Train trips operate on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
The departures are from the western side of the Gran Estación Shopping Center, located on Carrera 66 and Calle 25, at 8:45 am., and from the Usaquén Station (Av. Carrera 9 #110-08) at 9:15 am
Arrival in Zipaquirá is estimated around 10:45 am. For the return, the train departs from Zipaquirá at 3:15 pm, arriving in Usaquén at 4:45 pm and at the Gran Estación around 5:15 pm.
The entire round trip takes approximately 8 hours and 30 minutesoffering ample time to explore, take photos and enjoy the scenery.
How much is admission?
The most recent rates state that adults pay COP 72,000. Meanwhile, children under 3 years old who travel in arms do not pay a ticket.

During the Christmas season, the Tren de la Sabana offers a special tour with dates available from December 15, 2025 until January 9, 2026, except December 24 and 31.
