In the dispute over the ban on importing genetically modified corn from the United States into Mexico, the U.S. government has rejected the possibility of conducting a joint investigation to determine the damage to health caused by human consumption of this product, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador reported.
We have presented evidence and we will continue to present it. The National Council of Humanities, Science and Technology, the Secretariat of the Environment and the Secretariat of Agriculture are doing so, and we will continue to do the same in the case of transgenic corn.
