This Friday, it was celebrated, in the Narino Palace, the first meeting of the junction commission between the outgoing government of Ivan Duke and that of the elected president, Gustav Petro. In it, the teams appointed by both parties discussed issues such as the agenda for the sector teams,
“We had our first meeting, which reflects a spirit of what we have been building and of what the democratic process will be, a spirit of institutionality within the framework of a harmonic connection process, and a process of transportation towards the team of the elected president and for the citizens”, highlighted the Minister of Finance, Jose Manuel Restrepeither, who leads the commission on behalf of the current government.
The commission agreed on a work schedule between the national junction teams and the president-elect starting next Wednesday, June 29. That day, at 10 am, meetings will be held for the sectors of transport, commerce and public function. That same day, at 3 pm, the technical junctions of the sectors of interior, justice, work and finances.
On Thursday, June 30, in the morning, the first meetings of the sectors of education, ICT, science and health. And in the afternoon hours, it will be the turn of defense and the Vice Presidency.
On Friday, July 1, early, the meeting of the sectors of Foreign Ministry, sport, housing and culture, and in the afternoon there will be the meetings of mines and energy, environment and agriculture.
Finally, on Tuesday, July 5, the joint meeting will be held for the Presidency, the National Administrative Department of Statistics (Dane) and the Department of Social Prosperity (DPS).
“In this way, the process starts immediately. It starts, in the first place, with the sectoral meeting, in which each of the meetings will be defined in detail in depth on the topics of each of the sectors and also the meetings that follow in each of the 180 entities of the National Government, in which there will also be junction tables between the elected government and the current oneRestrepo said.
For its part, Daniel Rojas, programmatic director of the Historical Pact, He thanked the current administration for the space and revealed that, on Tuesday 28, the names of the members of the teams that will coordinate each sectoral team on behalf of the new government will be known.
On the side of the current administration, the joint team is confirmed, in addition to Minister Restrepo, by Maria Paula Correa, the chief of staff of President Duque; Alejandra Botero Barco, director of the National Planning Department (DNP); and by Victor Munoz, director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency of the Republic (Dapre).
The governing commission of the elected president is made up, in addition to Rojas, of Diana Carolina Corcho Mejia, political scientist, psychiatric doctor and public health researcher; and the former congressman of the Partido de La U, Mauricio Lizcan.
This Friday, he was also present aurora vergara, sociologist and director of the Center for Afrodiasporic Studies (Ceaf) and professor at the Department of Social Studies at Icesi University.
