Linda Fornos, a Nicaraguan who arrived in the United States 16 years ago, participated in the Republican Party convention where former President Donald Trump was in the front row, with a harsh speech against the economic policy of the current Democratic President Joe Biden and his flexibility with immigration.
Fornos, who is the aunt of Karly Fornos, a creator of adult content and presenter on a Sandinista regime channel, stated during her speech that Biden’s policy against undocumented migrants is soft. She also criticized the fact that funds are allocated to receive undocumented immigrants. “It is upsetting to see millions of dollars sent to help immigrants who came here illegally while families who did it correctly are left abandoned.”
“Immigration only harms legal migrants,” said the Nicaraguan who is already a naturalized American citizen and lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. According to her social media, Fornos recently traveled to Nicaragua to participate with her children in horse riding activities and took the opportunity to enjoy the country’s social nightlife with her niece, who is openly Sandinista.
Linda Fornos, now openly declared a Republican, a Trump supporter and anti-immigrant, strangely has carte blanche to enter Nicaragua, her country of origin, subjugated by a dictatorial tyranny that prevents citizens from entering the territory, or strips nationalities and confiscates property for the simple reason of criticizing that regime.
During her speech, Fornos said that she is currently experiencing economic difficulties such as increased rent, gas and food. “As a life insurance worker, I see the struggle of people who try to save for their future, while now they manage to cover their needs (..)” “The situation is tough, one of my children has three jobs, the other has two, to be able to survive in this system of violence that worsens with open borders,” said Fornos.

She also criticized the current educational system in the United States, considering it inadequate for children and contrary to the values defended by the Latino community. “Biden’s system is failing, what happened to teaching, reading, writing and mathematics?” said the Nicaraguan.
Before closing her speech, the Republican activist mentioned that in the last elections she voted for the Democrats. “In 2020 I made a mistake, a mistake that is difficult to admit, especially in this room. In 2020 I voted for Joe Biden. I regret it (…) this November my vote will not be taken for granted and this time I will not regret it.”
Fornos called on the Latino community to vote for Trump, saying that during his term, “things” were different.
The US Federal Reserve informed the US Congress that “inflation slowed markedly in 2023 and has shown modest progress so far this year.” Biden’s economic policy is seen as a strong point for his policy in the run-up to the 2024 election, with the reduction in unemployment and the rise in the stock market.
Trump, on the other hand, has the disadvantage of being close to President Vladimir Putin, who he said would eliminate US aid to Ukraine and remove the world’s leading power from NATO if he wins. He also threatened illegal immigrants with mass deportations if he is elected in November.
