María de Lima and Ricardo Planchón called their political teams to a plenary session to exchange ideas and programs, which resulted in the unification of criteria that positions them “United” towards the national elections in October of this year and the departmental elections in May 2025, aspiring to reach the Senate, the Deputyship and the Mayor’s Office of Colonia.
In a united form they will compete with the Moreirista group, in the first instance.

At the meeting held on the evening of Tuesday 30th, the mayors and the group of councillors from both sectors were introduced, who took the opportunity to ask De Lima and Planchón to continue forging alliances within and outside the Party to achieve a plural, free and strong space.
The desire that unites this new political formation was highlighted: “We are going to make Colonia the best department, full of opportunities for all its inhabitants, all of them,” said de Lima, “this can be achieved if we work together with good coordination between the team at the provincial council and the mayor’s office, together with the residents of the entire department.”
“Today marks the beginning of a journey in which many more colleagues will continue to join us. This project is here to stay and here to win,” said Ricardo Planchón.
A highly applauded phrase was when María de Lima said that “The time has come to put on our shirts and work for a project that captivates the people of Colonia and makes it understood that it is the only option for the future of the department.”
Ricardo Planchón emphasized a previous agreement that was made with presidential candidate Álvaro Delgado, “Here there is an agreement of ideas, of a way of seeing and understanding the Department of Colonia, in the center are the represented, not the representatives.”
