In this way, both would have received an amount amounting to S / 90,000 in works to benefit the municipalities of Chachapoyas, Cajatambo, among others. In this sense, the prosecutor points out that Lilia Paredes acted as coordinator of said works.

Prosecutor García also asked to consider in the decision the works offered by the first lady’s sister, Yenifer Paredes, in Cajamarca. According to his argument, these offers would have been under the coordination of Lilia Paredes.

The prosecutor also mentioned the statements of the effective collaborator Hugo Espino, who stated that he had communication with Lilia Paredes, who would have asked him to acquire a new cell phone chip to communicate without fear of some type of telephone intervention.

According to the prosecutor, Geiner Alvarado would be a key character in the alleged criminal organization entrenched in the Government, since it would have sought to capture important positions in the Executive. Alvarado López served as Minister of Housing until August 5, 2022 and then went on to lead the MTC until his censorship on September 15 of the same year.
Yenifer Paredes would be involved
The prosecutor also stated that the sister of the first lady, Yenifer Paredes -who is in preventive detention-, would be included in the investigation as a lobbyist.

Prosecutor Jorge García Juárez began with the argument for the request to prevent the first lady from leaving the country, where he pointed out that Lilia Paredes is being investigated for being the alleged coordinator of a criminal organization that would be led by President Pedro Castillo.

In that sense, Justiniano stated that it will be done in any case on October 10 and that, if the lawyer could not connect, a public defender would be assigned to the first lady to conclude the process.
Request for impediment to leave the country
The request to prevent them from leaving the country —also requested for Walter and David Paredes, brothers of the first lady— was announced on August 22 for allegedly integrating a network of corruption in the State in which, according to the prosecutor’s thesis , other members of the Executive and the president’s sister-in-law, Yenifer Paredes.
For his part, the president has so far gathered six preliminary investigations by the Public ministrywhich has been investigating him for allegedly being the leader of said criminal organization, as well as for alleged irregularities in the bidding for the purchase of biodiesel in Petroperú.
