Marcelo Ebrard criticizes the Peruvian government for declaring the Mexican ambassador “persona non grata”

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, Marcelo Ebrard, questioned the decision of the Government of Dina Boluarte to declare the Mexican ambassador in Peru, diplomat Pablo Monroy, “persona non grata”.

“Pablo Monroy Ambassador in Lima informs me that the Government of Peru has set him 72 hours to leave the country. I find that decision unfounded and reprehensible. The conduct of our ambassador has been attached to the law and to the principle of non-intervention. Mexico will not change his position,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
