The president of the police union (Sifpom) ironized about the audio of the National Director of the Police Diego Fernández in which he demanded that the police not express themselves about the idea of the minister Luis Alberto Heber to hire ex-inmates as part of a plan to contain the homicides. “If those audios are leaked, they couldn’t silence much,” said Rodríguez.
Fernandez’s audiobroadcast by MVD Noticias, said: “In the face of any question about the idea that the minister announced yesterday [miércoles 18 de enero] of, with the IDB loan, working with neighborhood leaders to prevent homicides and working with ex-inmates, zero comment. Don’t make any comments. Neither for nor against, nothing”.
The owl, the owl goes shhhhh, goes shhhh, all be quiet, all be quiet, like the owl that goes shhhh, that goes shhhhh. If those audios are filtered, they could not silence much, luckily or by right some practices no longer work, they should already know.

Rodriguez told The Observer that Heber’s proposal “at first glance is rejected by the police,” according to what delegates from different departments have transmitted to them. “The silence that the director asks for must be for that reason,” he theorized.
Heber’s idea will be evaluated by the Union of Police Unions, but at the moment they have not been formally informed of the project. The Observer reported this Thursday that the ministry proposed to carry out its own program that resumes the spirit of Cure Violence, created by the epidemiologist Gary Slutkin. He understood that violence spread like contagious diseases and that is why he implemented a program in the most dangerous neighborhood in Chicago.
His program consisted of recruiting people who knew firsthand the thick environment of crime (former members of criminal groups) and entrusting them with detecting and interrupting possible acts of violence. Although the idea is not to emulate Slutkin’s program, they do have intentions of formulating their own new program that takes up this spirit.
