Thus, the United States Supermarket Association (NSA) was established at the Trade Fair, made up of more than 600 members that include Dominican-made goods on their shelves, representing an annual market for the country of more than US$10 billion. Dollars.
The presentation was made by the executive president of Grupo SID, Ligia Bonetti, who was the guest speaker at the opening night of the activity that takes place in the county of Queens, New York, United States.
The annual meeting was headed by Samuel Collado, president of the NSA and its main members, before whom Mrs. Bonetti introduced the Dominican Republic as a country that has its arms open to the world in terms of investment and that is currently in its best moment.
“Our country has been able to overcome a pandemic that affected the world with satisfactory statistics. We are recognized by international organizations, such as Moody’s, the International Monetary Fund and the World Tourism Organization as the number one country in the recovery of tourism; we are an example of resilience and work”, she highlighted.
The president of Grupo SID cited the commitment to promote development, investment and improve the quality of life of Dominicans in the country and abroad. “It fills us with satisfaction to say that we are in 17 countries and with the determination to continue touching new markets,” she stressed. She highlighted the objectives set by Grupo SID as a company facing the international market. “Our Group is entering a digital transformation to optimize manufacturing processes and the agile way of buying, selling and doing business,” she said.
