Given the heavy rains and due to adverse visibility conditions, the flight in which President Gustavo Petro and his entourage are traveling to Popayán to attend to the emergency caused by the landslide in the municipality of Rosas (Cauca), had to land in Cali on Tuesday night.

After the incident, The authorities are investigating whether lightning struck the aircraft, information that is being verified with reports from the Colombian Air Force (FAC).
The aircraft is under review, while the Cabinet headquarters has already requested a report from the FAC to find out more details about what happened and the possible effects suffered by the plane.

For this Wednesday, Petro plans to attend a security council at 1:00 in the afternoon; then an economic council at 3:00 p.m. and finally, a council of ministers at 5:00 p.m.
