Lifting of sanctions marks the beginning of Venezuelan recovery: Chavismo

The Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy RodríguezHe confirmed on his social networks that The United States lifted some sanctions and now authorizes “American and European oil companies to negotiate and restart operations in Venezuela.”

With this decision, Rodríguez considers that Venezuela began its path “for economic recovery with its own effort” and said that they trust that this American decision will be the beginning of the “absolute lifting of illegal sanctions that affect all of our people.”

In turn, the vice president assured that will continue to promote “tirelessly fruitful dialogue in a national and international format” and on this point also the Venezuelan opposition pronounceda, denying that they have requested the US. lift personal sanctions to promote bilateral dialogue.

The Unitary Platformwhich hosts a large part of the Venezuelan opposition, said in a statement that its only interest is “end the tragedy that we Venezuelans live” without requesting the elimination of sanctions as has been disclosed.

“We ratify the urgency of that an immediate date and a specific agenda be announced to the country to resume the negotiation process in accordance with the memorandum of understanding signed in Mexico City,” the document concludes.
