The Lifestyle Group, the largest employer in the tourism sector on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, obtained important agreements at the FITUR fair to ensure that more European tourists continue to choose the country as their favorite long-distance destination.
The tourism entrepreneur Markus Wischenbart described as “very fruitful” the business meetings held by the Lifestyle Group with important players in the industry worldwide.
“We are satisfied with everything that the Lifestyle Group achieved at FITUR and much more with the important announcements made by President Luis Abinader and Tourism Minister David Collado for the destination of Puerto Plata,” said Wischenbart.
He affirmed that increasing the frequency of flights to Puerto Plata and Santiago guarantees that more European tourists choose these destinations in the Dominican Republic as their favorite long-distance destination.
“The agreements that we have achieved here at FITUR will have a positive impact for Dominican tourism, which we will see in the coming months,” said the president of Lifestyle, a business group that has been operating in the Dominican Republic for 20 years.
He affirmed that in those two decades the contributions of the Lifestyle Group have had an extraordinary impact on the economic development of Puerto Plata and on the entire value chain of the sector on the North Coast.
Wischenbart recalled that the Lifestyle Group currently guarantees more than 2,500 direct jobs and another seven thousand indirect jobs.
He pointed out that the Lifestyle Group currently has more than 25% of the hotel rooms on the entire North Coast.
Located in Cofresí and Cabarete, in Puerto Plata, Lifestyle offers its guests from luxurious villas to comfortable rooms in five hotels, as well as the richest gastronomic experience in its 27 restaurants and five beach clubs.
“In these 20 years of hard but rewarding work, at the Lifestyle Group we have a success story to share with all Dominicans,” said Wischenbart.
