Life in the hands of residents

The amputation of a member of an IPS patient has generated a series of discussions about the quality of medicine in the country. Among other issues, the internal management of the oldest doctors with those who have just started arises, several of these cases occur frequently with the authoritarian treatment received by the so-called residents, who are those who have finished their degree and must have passed through some public hospital for about two to three years, where they acquire the knowledge in the specialty that they decided to embrace.

There are circumstances where it seems that they were in a concentration camp or in a military barracks, verticalism, humiliation, harassment, are frequent stories and told repeatedly. To affirm all this in terms of how an authoritarian idea is consolidated, is that the young person who enters the medical school must spend a day of humiliation in front of the so-called “gods” who smear and humiliate him, in such a way, that they can clearly understand what their future will be, in such a way that when they become residents they do nothing but rediscover the humiliation and humiliation.

If these things stayed between them, nothing would happen, but they end up finishing off patients who lose not only their leg, but many times their lives, it cannot continue like this.
