The match was played today at Club Libertad’s La Huerta stadium for the fifth date of the Apertura 2022 First Division tournament.
Libertad struck once in each half from the hand of Héctor ‘Tito’ Villalba (23′) and the youthful Julio Enciso (48′ ST) to submit a complicated Ameliano who put him in trouble during wide passages of the engagement.
The cast led by Daniel Garnero had many problems and corrected their lack of collective play with individual outbursts that allowed them to prevail on the scoreboard.
Ameliano, again, gave a good feeling, but he lacked the final stitch and a little more luck to get at least a draw.
With this result, Libertad adds 13 units and regains second place, two behind the intractable leader, Cerro Porteño (15).
For his part, Ameliano stagnates in ninth place with three points and falls again after beating General de Mallorquín on the previous date. It is his fourth defeat in five presentations and things can get complicated in the rigorous table of averages.
