Libertad received Sol de América today in its Huerta for the ninth date of the Apertura 2022 tournament.
A weak start for the venue that the Danzarín took advantage of to take the lead very early through an accurate header by Argentinean Gabriel Benegas (5′).
However, Libertad settled down on the field, made his football flow and -after some 10 minutes of hardship due to the shortcomings of his defense- managed to level the score with a remarkable finish by Héctor ‘Tito’ Villalba (17′).
Things were even better for Gumarelo because William Mendieta, towards the end of the first stage, gave rise to a comeback (45′) by endorsing a bad rebound from the Blue defense inside their own area.
There was time for the jewel, Julio Enciso, who made it 3-1 at game time after a very good succession of touches.
From then on, the cast directed by Daniel Garnero dedicated himself to managing his advantage, without giving an option to a Sol de América who did not find in the attacks of his new coach, the temperamental Celso Ayala, the course to discount.
With this result, Libertad adds 25 units and is three ahead of Cerro Porteño at the top of the classification. For his part, Sol suffered his third loss in a row and stagnated in seventh place with 11 points to his credit.
The entrance Libertad goes back to Sol and holds the lead was first published in diary TODAY.
