The departmental councilor, Derlis Larrosa, stated for Radio Ñanduti that three of his liberal colleagues had negotiated with the Colorados in order to elect a mayor from Añetete as governor of Central, which is why they would not have the necessary votes to elect a a person from the PLRA.
He also indicated that there are rumors of the resignation of Hugo Javier González after the new request for intervention to the institution. Larrosa pointed out that the Organic Charter of the Government of Central speaks of the impossibility that González currently has to continue leading the institution, which is why they need to elect a new governor since up to now the entity is headless.
