A source close to the family of university leaders Lesther German Y Max Sherry revealed that prison conditions against political prisoners “have improved” with respect to food and hours of sunlight, despite interrogations, inhumane treatment and the lack of specialized medical care persists.
“They are stable within what is possible. Lesther and Max have regained a bit of weight, compared to previous visits they look better. They comment that now they are regularly taken out to sunbathe and that the interrogations continue,” the source told the investigation team on condition of anonymity. Article 66.
He added that the officers of the Directorate of Judicial Assistance, known as “El Nuevo Chipote”, question the young opponents about what they are eating or what they are going to do with their lives if they go out.
