The former Minister of Social Development, Leonor Calderón, addresses this Thursday the issue of protecting the rights of women in Panama, mainly in cases of female disappearances, emphasizing that our country is still in time to stop this wave of violence that we have seen in recent times, but we must also think about prevention.
“There are few protection measures applied in Panama, very few compared to the levels of cases that exist. Elements must begin to be applied, we must not forget that the law is not the end point, it is a starting point, not an arrival point” , he remarked.
