SANTO DOMINGO.- The president of the Fuerza del Pueblo (FP) party, Leonel Fernández, held a meeting this Saturday with the social media coordinators of the different districts where the political entity has a presence.
The meeting, which took place at the Johnny Ventura People’s House, was organized by the Social Media Department of Fuerza del Pueblo. Provincial officials participated in the meeting, and several coordinators from abroad joined virtually.
During the meeting, Fernández addressed the challenges and issues facing the opposition organization, which will be discussed in the framework of the congress that the organization is holding, with the aim of strengthening communication structures. He also invited all those responsible for social networks to actively participate in the different thematic panels of the Ordinary Congress.
The opposition leader also addressed the main issues of national current affairs, including the unnecessary constitutional reform that the Executive Branch is proposing.
Before Fernández’s remarks, the director of Social Networks of the FP and member of the Political Directorate, Keyla Reyna, presented a report on the current structures that the entity has, the work carried out and the plans for the coming months.
The meeting was also attended by the Secretary General, Antonio Florián; the Secretary for Operational Management and member of the Political Directorate, Franklin Labour; and the members of the Central Directorate, Nelson Gómez, Director of Advertising, and Rafa Castillo, Director of Press.
Other members of the Political Directorate of the FP, active on social networks, who participated in the meeting were Juana Sánchez and Alexandra Peña, along with the members of the Central Directorate, Miguel Ortega and Darío Medrano, the latter being Deputy Secretaries of Communication, who represented the head of that Secretariat, Omar Liriano, who was in other responsibilities aimed at strengthening the main opposition organization in the Dominican Republic.
