Leonel ensures cost of living in the DR increased 7% in 2022

Santiago.- The president of Fuerza Del Pueblo, Leonel Fernández, assured this Saturday that the cost of living in the Dominican Republic increased by 7% in 2022, compared to the previous year.

He stressed that the products that have risen the most in price are plantains, cassava, yautía and rice, which has decreased people’s purchasing power.

“The cost of living is what worries the population the most and in the midst of this famine, President Abinader speaks index plantain and index chicken, Abinader plantain is the only one that is cheap in the markets,” said Fernández.

In another order, the also former president of the Republic, highlighted the sustained growth that the political entity he leads has been having.
