Fidel Domínguez, the face of barbarism in León
The department of León has been battered by Sandinista commissioner Fidel Domínguez, one of the fiercest police chiefs who operates as a fanatic of the Sandinista Front party, rather than as an institution of order and security.
For his repressive actions, Domínguenz was sanctioned by the United States government, which designated him because “has directed numerous attacks against Nicaraguan citizens and journalists. For example, agents of the Nicaraguan National Police attacked a journalist during a police operation led by Domínguez. Dominguez also reportedly participated in torture and beatings “of a former opposition deputy and three members of a family of known opponents of the Ortega regime”
One of the most shameful acts that this police chief carried out was the torture against the family Reyes Alonso, de León, whom he tied up and recorded on videos while forcing them to commit “not to screw with the Police and the” Sandinista militants.
