In the two days, Leo Pericles walked the streets, participated in plenary sessions with workers and university students and gave interviews to the press. In the federal capital, he also signed commitment letters proposed by entities linked to education such as the Federation of Workers Unions of Brazilian Public Universities (Fasubra) and the National Union of Teachers of Higher Education Institutions (Andes).

“Our proposal is to suspend the payment of the public debt and invest massively in four areas: education, health, housing and basic sanitation. solve sanitation. It hires people from the neighborhood that has no sanitation”, he said.

Leo Pericles mentioned the situation in Petrópolis, in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro, which experienced the greatest tragedy in its history at the beginning of the year after a storm hit the city causing more than 200 deaths and leaving hundreds homeless. “It’s not because of the rain.
