The president stressed that work must continue on comprehensive care for search groups and relatives of missing persons, and for the development and protection of women.
“Love is paid with love and Jalisco is ready to work with the President of the Republic (Claudia Sheinbaum), because not only Jalisco deserves unity, Mexico deserves unity (…) People want to see us solving, and in Jalisco we are there,” said Lemus.
“To tell the people of Jalisco that they have my eternal gratitude for the support they have given me (…) We have to be a close government, but above all, a government that resolves. Our main identification is a government of results, like the ones we have always done,” he said.
Authorities from the three levels of government attended the event, such as César Yáñez Centeno Cabrera, Undersecretary of the Interior of the Government of Mexico, organized civil society, academia, private initiative, social and union leaders, local and federal legislators, and former governors of the State.
Prominent actors from the national political sector also attended, such as Dante Delgado, Samuel García, governor of Nuevo León, and Luis Donaldo Colosio, senator of the Republic.

In his first report, Lemus recognized the importance of making visible the disappearance of people in the state and the country, as well as taking strategic actions to address them.
He affirmed that Jalisco will recognize family members and victims of this crime as a vulnerable sector, who will have the full support of the State, working hand in hand and in permanent dialogue with the search groups and family members.
“We have the obligation to pay a historical debt with all these families, but above all we have a commitment to work for the future of our State and Mexico to eradicate disappearance,” he said.
Lemus also highlighted the infrastructure works underway, ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which will remain as a legacy for Guadalajara.

He highlighted the renovation of the highway to Chapala with the expansion to six lanes in each direction, of which two lanes will be used for the new electromobility transport, as well as the works on Camino Real to Colima.
The lanes will open in both works on November 20 and their completion is estimated on the last day of this year.
Another impact project for the entity is the construction of the Amatitán-San Martín de Bolaños highway, which will connect the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area with the Northern region.
The governor spoke of the modernization of almost 5 thousand kilometers of the state highway network, with an investment of more than 24 billion pesos, which includes actions such as renovation and periodic maintenance, and which will be completed in July 2026.
Lemus recalled that public works are also promoted in other metropolitan municipalities such as Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, El Salto and Juanacatlán, among others.
In terms of public transportation, the Jalisco president reported that in 2026, the Mi Bici system will put more than 1,200 electric bikes into operation and available to users, which will be ready for the 2026 World Cup.
