On January 22, 2025, Leidy Hnestroza died, known on social networks as ‘Leidy La Hermosura’, in a hospital in Urabá Antioquia. The 23 -year -old, native of Apartadó, Antioquia, had openly shared with her more than 400,000 followers her fight against cancer, a disease that was diagnosed at age 13.

In October 2024, Leidy revealed in an emotional video his status as an oncological patient, requesting support to perform necessary medical exams due to complications in his health.
Hours before his death, relatives of Leidy requested urgent help through social networks to transfer it to a medical center, sharing images that showed his delicate state. Despite the efforts, the young woman failed to overcome the complications derived from her illness. His sister, Keidy Hnestroza, denounced alleged negligence in the medical care received, pointing out delays in the performance of necessary exams and treatments. 
‘Leidy La Hermosura’ won the love of his followers thanks to his charisma, authenticity and sense of humor. One of his most remembered videos is one in which, in tears, he said: “I am sad. Send me 50 thousand ”, a phrase that became emblematic between your audience. After the news of his death, social networks were filled with messages of condolence and tributes, remembering the moments of joy and strength he shared during his battle against cancer.

An Instagram user wrote to Keidy Hnestroza, sister of Leidy, through the platform in the dynamics of ‘Questions and Answers’: “What was the last thing Leidy told you before death?”
Keidy Hnestroza revealed: “She could not say word because her death, consulting, was sudden, but she blushed and I only shed her because she already knew that she was leaving.”
He said very moved that the only thing he could do at that time was to caress her and give him all his love. His relatives knew that it was not possible to save his life.
Similarly, the young woman made a complaint that would mitigate the clinic nurses: «We are not going to make any demand, however, on the day of what happened, a nurses chief entered and told my sister that I was going to sue us. I am waiting for the demand, to re -manage them ».
