Local driver Charles Leclerc will start this Sunday from pole position at the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix that will take place on the Monte Carlo street circuit, escorted by his teammate from the Ferrari team, the Spanish Carlos Sainz Jr.
The Monaco GP, the seventh test of the calendar, will be run from 10.00 Argentine time to 78 laps on the urban circuit of Montecarlobroadcast live on Fox Sports.
On the second starting line, the Red Bulls of the Mexican Sergio “Checo” Pérez -third- and the Dutchman Max Verstappen will start –fourth-, current champion of the category and new leader of the World Cup after his victory in Barcelona last weekend.
With that arrangement, Leclerc will try to regain the lead in the general classification of the season, which he resigned with his abandonment at the Catalan Montmeló racetrackand Ferrari return to the top of the Constructors’ Cup, to which the Austrian team jumped with 1-2 last Sunday.
The remaining positions were as follows: 5) Lando Norris (McLaren); 6) George Russell (Mercedes); 7) Fernando Alonso (Alpine-Renault); 8) Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes); 9) Sebastian Vettel (Aston Martin) and 10) Esteban Ocon (Alpine-Renault).
From eleventh to last place were: Yuki Tsunoda (AlphaTauri), Valtteri Bottas (Alfa Romeo), Kevin Magnussen (Haas), Daniel Ricciardo (McLaren), Mick Schumacher (Haas), Alexander Albon (Williams), Pierre Gasly (AlphaTauri) , Lance Stroll (Aston Martin), Nicholas Latifi (Williams) and Zhou Guanyu (Alfa Romeo).
