Are you about to travel and will temporarily stop using the telephone, pay TV or the internet for a certain period of time? Osiptel reminds you that you can temporarily suspend these services.
The procedure is 100% free and the minimum period for which the suspension can be requested is from 15 days to two months, consecutive or alternate, per year of service.
“The operating companies will not be able to charge the subscriber for the period during which the service was suspended,” said the regulator.

To manage the procedure, the user must resort to the operator with which he works. You can carry out the process in person, by telephone or on the website.
You must take into account that this procedure must be carried out directly by the owner of the service and the company has a period of up to five business days to make it effective.
“Users have the possibility to request the reactivation of the service before the required period ends. It should be noted that the company could apply a fee for reactivation and this amount must be informed to the user at the time the request for temporary suspension is initiated,” said Osiptel.
