In 2025, Peru will have a total of 16 national holidays; that is, holiday days of rest for workers in both the public and private sectors.

Many families take advantage of these holidays to plan vacations or other activities to spend with loved ones or friends.
Holidays are established in article 6 of Legislative Decree No. 713, Paid Rest Law. During these dates, workers have the legal right to enjoy a day of paid rest.
These are the holidays for 2025:

- Wednesday, January 1: New Year.
April
- Thursday, April 17 (Holy Thursday).
- Friday, April 18 (Good Friday).
May
- Thursday, May 1: Labor Day.
June
- Saturday, June 7: Battle of Arica and Flag Day.
- Sunday, June 29: Saint Peter and Saint Paul.
July
- Wednesday, July 23: Peruvian Air Force Day.
- Monday, July 28: National Holidays.
- Tuesday, July 29: National Holidays.
August
- Wednesday, August 6: Battle of Junín.
- Saturday, August 30: Santa Rosa de Lima.
October
- Wednesday, October 8: Combat of Angamos.
November
- Saturday, November 1: All Saints’ Day.
December
- Monday, December 8: Immaculate Conception.
- Tuesday, December 9: Battle of Ayacucho.
- Thursday, December 25: Christmas.
Workers in general receive their ordinary remuneration for the holiday without having worked and your payment is proportional to the number of days actually worked in the week. In the event that work is carried out on a holiday, without substitute rest, the holiday payment plus the remuneration for the day worked with a surcharge of 100%.
The jobs that, in general, must continue to operate to guarantee the provision of essential services to the community are health, cleaning, electricity, water, transportation, security, food sales, among others.
