Angel Valdes | April 26, 2023

The Deputy of the Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD) for San Miguelito, Leandro Ávila spoke with Radio Panama about various issues of national interest such as the Asset Forfeiture Bill that is being discussed in the National Assembly, in addition to the PRD primaries.

On the specific issue of the campaign where the pre-candidate for the presidency, Gaby Carrizo, last weekend, Ávila said that he has his full support for these elections «I think it is the best option at this time of all the pre-candidates who are registered for participate in the primaries, all companions are valuable, but I think he is the best option.

About the ostentatious campaign that is carried out in that district where the images of new cars with the party slogan went viral on social networks, Ávila said that in his case his campaign is based on leadership and not on money: “I am in the street alone, without bodyguards, I use a driver, sometimes when I go to institutions or on weekends when I have to walk politically, but my campaign is based on leadership, if it were based on money I would withdraw from this because I have said so loud and clear, I have not thought about having a business, in my ANTAI affidavit there is no business, perhaps the only thing I can have is a piece of land where I have some cabins, but I have no business, because politics does not go hand in hand Hand in hand with business.
