Santo Domingo.– The president Luis Abinader announced this Monday that the new United States ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Leah Camposwill arrive in the country at the end of this weekafter postponing his trip due to weather conditions caused by the Hurricane Melissa.
The diplomat had planned to arrive last Wednesday, but the passage of the atmospheric phenomenon through the Caribbean forced her to reschedule your flight.
With a history of more than two decades in American public service, Fields is former intelligence officer and foreign policy advisorwith extensive experience in issues related to Latin America.
Before her appointment as ambassador in Santo Domingo, she served as foreign policy advisor in the House of Representatives and member of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
