Leading employment indicator rises 0.8 points, says FGV

The Antecedent Employment Indicator (Iaemp), measured by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), rose 0.8 points in February this year, compared to January, and reached 74.7 points. With the result, the index returns to the level of December 2022.Leading employment indicator rises 0.8 points, says FGV

Iaemp seeks to anticipate trends in the labor market based on interviews with consumers and entrepreneurs in industry and services.

Three of the seven components of Iaemp contributed to the growth of the indicator from January to February: the indicator of the current situation of business in industry, forecast employment in services and trend in business in services.
