The leader of the Evita Movement and official of the Ministry of Social Development, Emilio Pérsico, affirmed that “democracy is also expressed in the streets”, by supporting the mobilization of the workers’ centrals to Congress against “the price makers”, and considered that the members of the social movements support the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, so that he “solves the structural problems” of the country.

“From the Evita Movement we call for this day of workers’ mobilization because things are not going well. One issue is inflation and another is the distributive bid. We must join forces to give the discussions that we have to give,” said the secretary of Social Economy of the Social Development portfolio in statements to FM La Patriada.

Persico called to take into account that “democracy is also expressed in the streets.”

“The workers are going to shout their voices and let’s not be afraid of them because that is good and consolidates the democratic process,” he remarked.

Meanwhile, the social leader maintained that in the distributive bid “those who most need the State are the humblest and the sectors of the popular economy” that are “in structural poverty.”

“The state is the only one that can strongly intervene in the distributive bid. We popular organizations can mobilize, agitate the issues and explain them. From the union organization we built the UTEP (the Union of Workers of the Popular Economy), but still in this capitalism We have not developed the tools for representation and resolution of the new social conflict, which this capitalism is not in a position to resolve,” he explained.

In this sense, Pérsico expressed the support “with great fervor and enthusiasm” of the social movements for the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, with the aim of “giving him strength to solve the problems.”

“Our only hope today is that Massa solves Argentina’s macroeconomic problems. We always support the economy ministers because we realized that the better conditions they have to make that distribution bid, the better conditions our colleagues are in,” he said.

Front Patria Grande: “We must put a brake on speculators”

The national deputy of the Front Patria Grande, Natalia Zaracho, assured that the space led by the leader Juan Grabois participates in the march together with the CGT because “we must put a brake on price makers.”

“You have to be tough with the tough, and if the government does that, the people will accompany them. It is critical support,” Zaracho explained in statements to El Destape Radio. On the economic situation and the impact on the popular classes, the deputy maintained that “every assistance provided by the Government goes down the drain, because the increases are very large.”

“They want us to believe that we all lose, and that’s not the case. You have to think about a redistribution. The priority must be the last and the last, ”she remarked. In that sense, he affirmed that “we must respect the electoral contract, which led us to be a Government. We cannot continue subsidizing those who have the most, since we can no longer demand more from those at the bottom”.

Regarding the future of the Patria Grande and its link with the Frente de Todos, Zaracho pointed out that “next September 3 we are going to have a congress of the Frente Patria Grande and we are going to evaluate what to do.”

“We are proposing that if we do not respect the 2019 electoral contract we will not win in 2023, this has to end with the people inside,” he concluded.

Facundo Moyano asked for more State controls on price makers

The deputy secretary of the toll workers union (Sutpa), Facundo Moyano, assured that the march carried out by the CGT “is against those who form prices” and, after pointing out that inflation is “an evil that erodes the pocket of those who permanently have the least,” he asked for greater controls from the State.

“Some sectors have naturalized inflation and those with fewer resources end up suffering from it as an evil that permanently erodes their pockets. It doesn’t matter if the CGT should have carried out the mobilization before, but that it does it now,” Facundo Moyano said in statements made this Wednesday to the FutuRöck online radio.

In this context, the former deputy assured that the mobilization “is against the price makers”, and pointed out that it is “the first march of the CGT in three years, and reflects the economic, social and political crisis”.

In addition, when referring to inflation, he stated that the government “has failed to control a disease that afflicts a large number of Argentines.”

Also, he considered that to the march led by the CGT, the CTA and different social movements, the union sectors “carry a slogan that has to do with the general situation of the country.”

On the other hand, Facundo Moyano clarified that, although he is a Peronist, he is outside the Frente de Todos (FdT), and has “the responsibility of not attacking the stability of the Government.”

“You cannot be passive and say nothing in the face of this situation and limit ourselves only to price makers,” said the Sutpa leader.
