In the last Jalsa Salaana, the most anticipated international event by the Muslims of the Ahmadia community that brought together almost 50 thousand people from 110 countries, personalities around the world sent messages or participated in person participated in the appointment developed in London.
Figures such as the Vatican Nuncio in the United Kingdom, representatives of the Anglican Church, members of the British Parliament and leaders of different religious confessions. Even the British Royal House, through representatives near King Carlos III, sent his greeting and recognition to the Ahmadia community for his commitment to non -violence, interreligious respect and community service.
During the convention, the Caliph Ahmadia, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, provided a series of speeches focused on global justice, mutual respect between nations and the role of spirituality in times of crisis. “Durable peace will not be achieved with weapons or sanctions, but with justice and truth,” he said before an audience that followed him in more than 10 languages simultaneously.
Likewise, he attended to each of the journalists invited to the Salana Jalsa, including those in Latin America where the community has a presence, including Bolivia.
– What is the main message of Ahmadia?
In general, in all fields, among these politics, Latin American countries first have to work honestly, because the strong problem we have with these developing countries is that there is a bit of corruption, which affects progress.
In addition, it must be remembered that God is always looking at everything we do and that in those countries there is a concept of religion; Anyone that is, must focus more on that and work with the thought that God is looking.
You talked about corruption in Latin America and particularly in Bolivia they are not giving them many facilities to consolidate the Ahmadia presence. Do you feel the most subtle persecution, such as bureaucratic impediment to exercise religious freedom?, Considering that Bolivia has a relationship with Islamic countries where extreme groups inhabit?
There is corruption, but at the same time in these countries you have to give a bribe and our point is not to give a bribe.
At the same time it is necessary to improve the relationship with different organizations and politicians. Journalists also have a responsibility because when they write about our community, politicians will have better understanding about Ahmadia. You have to work in different aspects.
Leaders from all over the world launched positive messages in the Salana Jalsa, praising their culture of peace and humanitarian work, how important are these messages for you who are already directed, how do you expect these messages to help them to publicize your message of peace to humanity?
In addition to the messages in the Salana Jalsa, every year the community has an annual peace conference in England, which many politicians reach. They agree with our message, but at the same time their hands are tied for political reasons cannot do much.
We can also see that many times, if the US or Israel say something, it is very difficult to do otherwise, and the politicians who come to the conference accept these things, say they agree with us, but that they cannot help.
However, although slowly, we can see a change, so we will continue our efforts and we will not rest, sooner or later we will see the result.
– What is the change you see in the Israel – Palestine conflict?
For example, only the president of France and the Prime Minister of England said they would recognize the state of Palestine, and perhaps only say that to say, but at the same time these statements have an effect on the public, which in turn could exert some pressure on Israel, so as not to affect the rights of the Palestinians. This is how they are slowly doing something.
– What is your main concern about the persecution that the Ahmadia community is suffering, especially in Pakistan?
Obviously we have concern about persecution because as citizens we do not exercise our rights in Pakistan, there are people who lose their lives; However, we are a community of God and we must be patient. At some point the situation will change.
