Lawyer survived an attack: he received 15 shots

The incident occurred on Saturday night, in the Jardín Aurora neighborhood, when Gerardo Bóveda Godoy (57) was in the company of his wife Silvina Figueredo (54), in front of his home, as confirmed by the Crio. Abel Cantero, deputy head of the Homicide Department of Pedro Juan Caballero.

At one point, he approached a motorcycle with two occupants, from which one of them got off and fired several shots. Once the victim fell to the ground and crawled towards his home, the hitman continued firing.

The lawyer was transferred to Regional Hospital of Pedro Juan Caballero, where today he is out of danger, thanks to the fact that the projectiles did not reach vital organs. The patient can even speak normally.

“We are working on the investigation with the help of the cameras that recorded the event,” the police chief commented in contact with 780, who recalled that this lawyer’s brother had already been the victim of an attack years ago, with fatal results.

As a more recent precedent, the lawyer obtained a sentence of 27 years in prison for a man accused of femicide.
