As we would say in Panamanian slang: “hard to the bone”, this is how the lawyer and member of the Molirena Party, Guillermo Ríos, spoke this Friday on Radio Panama about the constant scandals, anomalies and investigations in which the National Lottery of Panama is involved. Beneficence (LNB), entity led by said group.
“The Molirena party is not in the administration of the Lottery, because the Molirena party in other administrations was in charge of the Lottery and did so with great responsibility, guaranteeing the credibility of that institution, however, now in the administration of Mr. Francisco ‘Pancho’ Alemán Mendoza, who is the one who has assigned to the directive that is now in the National Lottery, a series of irregular situations have been carried out that have ended in a true public scandal; I can assure you that the majority of the members of the party They are neither Lottery officials nor do they deal with the current Molirena party board,” he explained.
He added that the Molirena party at this time is a “party kidnapped by Mr. Francisco Alemán”, “has no participation in citizen life”, “that does not pronounce itself on anything” and “that does not bring together its conventional and directories” ; “The Molirena party is a party in a catatonic state because it has ceased to be a party to become a branch.”
According to the lawyer, “everything indicates that there is a criminal network within the Lottery.” At the same time, he expressed that the position of the group’s board has been total silence, issuing statements that instead of clarifying, confuse and raise more suspicions about the irregular management that has been taking place within this charity.
Without hesitation, Ríos said that the current administration of the LNB is unsustainable due to all these scandals, and the lack of credibility in the management that is taking place there, “management led by Francisco Alemán Mendoza, who serves as president of the Molirena party “.
“We feel ashamed that this situation is taking place within this institution,” the lawyer said.
