This Monday the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies ratified, in part, its version of the bill for the General Budget of the Nation 2023 (PGN 2023). Likewise, other modifications introduced by the Senate were accepted.
Upon obtaining partial ratification in Deputies, the document will be studied again by the Chamber of Senators in the coming days.
The chairman of the Budget Committee, Deputy Arnaldo Samaniego (ANR-Capital), explained that the ruling recommended ratifying the initial sanction of the Lower House, with the acceptance of certain modifications by the Senate, such as the increase for the Ministry of Health for an amount of G. 58,000 million.
From Deputies they explained that With this modification of G. 58,000 million, the reprogramming will be carried out for the same amount, for the impact of the salary increase of G. 400,000, on average, for white, permanent and contracted personnel.

In total there are 42,792 links, as of September 2023, according to the explanations.
This also contemplates the implementation of the Nursing career, which will benefit 1,308 workers in the field; and the salary leveling of doctors (3,429 in total). Likewise, it is expected to “rank” INCAN personnel, with a total of 198 officials.
It should be remembered that the Executive Power sent a budget, for the next fiscal year, of G. 105.1 billion. The 2023 budget contemplates raising the fiscal deficit to 2.3%.
