The second vice president of the Commission for the Development of the Communes of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Carlos Mogollón, indicated that the newly installed Special Commission for the transformation of the Laws of People’s Power will begin the public consultation starting next week.
He pointed out that more than 10 legal instruments of the popular organizations will be subject to review to create a legal system that facilitates the processes and gives them the necessary boost to People’s Power, the communes, the communal councils and the communal government, according to a press release from the legislative body.
“The laws must be revised to make the processes of these instruments simpler, so that bureaucracy cannot be immersed in communal logics,” he pointed out.
This Special Commission is made up of the Permanent Commission for the Development of the Commune, the Permanent Commission for Ecosocialism, the Commission for Social Development and the Commission for People’s Power and Communication.
It arose from the initiative of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, after a meeting he held with the El Maizal Commune, in Lara.
