The mayor of the city of Lawrence, Brian A. Depenaannounced today the completion of what will be the First United States Political-Electoral Leadership Summitbut of Dominican descent, which is scheduled to take place on March 2 at a hotel in the city of Santo Domingo.
Brian A. DepenaHe reported that the great activity has the support of the President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, who, according to the mayor, has arranged everything that has been requested for said Summit to have the success that is expected.
In this sense, Depeña specified that this activity was going to be carried out in the city of Lawrence, but that three months ago when a commission of officials from the Mayor’s Office that he chairs visited the President in his office at the National Palace to invite him to the first The nation’s executive liked the idea and requested that this Summit change venue and be held in this country.
Immediately, Brian indicated, and by order of the president Abinaderwork commissions were formed in the country, which in coordination with the one that had been formed in Lawrence, began the preparations, and today, this first Summit is already a reality.
He specified that together with the commission that Lawrence presides over, other entities of the Dominican Republic that are working for the Summit to achieve the expected results are the Institute for Dominicans Abroad (Index), the Foreign Ministry, Banco de Reservas, Pro Dominican Republic and the Boston Consulate, under the responsibility of Enrique García.

“This Summit, of which we have no doubts that it will be a complete success, is our idea, whose main objective is to bring together the elected political leadership in the United States, but of Dominican descent, so that among all of us we can unify criteria. around what those development proposals could well be and that they can serve us to start the unit, “he said.
He indicated that thanks to the support and interest shown by President Abinader, this First Summit of the Political-Electoral Leadership of the United States but of Dominican descent, will be a success and will historically mark the path of development of the community Dominican Republic Abroad, because from there initiatives will be taken that will benefit all of us in a very particular way.
