Saúl Ortega: They seek a trial by order against Venezuela

Law will penalize NGOs that promote sanctions

The member of the Permanent Commission of Foreign Policy, Sovereignty and Integration of the National Assembly, deputy Saúl Ortega, assured that the consolidation of the International Cooperation Law project that seeks to establish fines and penalties of illegalization against those non-governmental organizations (NGOs) is advancing. that directly or indirectly promote international sanctions.

“The International Cooperation Law is in the first discussion. This law has a lot to do with the behavior of alleged NGOs that receive money from governments that have hostile intentions against Venezuela,” Ortega explained during an interview on the state channel VTV.

He considered that some of the NGOs are corruption entities used to destabilize the State.

On the other hand, he warned that the United States is preparing new sanctions against the country and other Latin American nations.

Likewise, he condemned that the US has not suspended any of the illegal unilateral coercive measures against Venezuela, and insisted that new sanctions against our country are underway, through the Law on the Prohibition of Operations and Leases with the Illegitimate Authoritarian Regime of Venezuela. (Bolívar, for its acronym in English), which was approved by the US Senate on December 16 of last year, and prohibits federal agencies from awarding US Government contracts to companies that do business with the Maduro regime.

Likewise, the parliamentarian said that “they are not going to abandon their mechanisms of interference, intervention, and aggression against any country in Latin America.” However, he stressed that the country remains active in defending its sovereignty and independence.
“Venezuela is an actively political country for the continent, thanks to the sovereign exercise and our territorial independence” .

He added that the National Assembly is also advancing on a draft Anti-Refuge Law without providing further details.
