This Wednesday, the member of the Permanent Commission for Education, Health, Science, Technology and Innovation of the National Assembly (AN) deputy Jesús Santander, reported that the bill to Protect People on the Autistic Spectrum (TEA) is intended to , attack discrimination, and implement the incorporation of this population, to education and work.
The deputy made the statements during his participation in the Al Aire program broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, where he indicated that this “Law aims to promote the quality of life of people who have this condition, as well as educate society.”

Likewise, he affirmed that the discussion of the draft Law to Protect People on the Autistic Spectrum involves all sectors of Venezuelan society and that is that from the National Assembly, together with the different State entities, such as the Ministry of Power Popular for Education (MPPE), “guarantees the protection of everyone, including the family, where mothers, fathers and representatives of people with this condition participate. It is important to highlight that within the educational institutions psycho-pedagogical accompaniment is being promoted, since the attention of these people must be guaranteed; As a result, we have opposition sectors that are sitting with us debating this bill”.
On the other hand, the deputy pointed out that the draft Law for the Prevention and Treatment of Sexually Transmitted Diseases seeks to guarantee treatment for people suffering from these diseases.
“The laws that we are approving are laws adapted to the elimination of discrimination and inclusion of all, and that is where we are going, from the AN we are heading towards that. The purpose is to protect the human rights of patients,” he said.
