Law that reconfigures the electoral circuits is promulgated in the Official Gazette

The electoral circuits of the provinces of Panama and West Panama will have new numbers after being published this Thursday in the Official Gazette, Law 299 that configures the electoral circuits, which will govern for the 2024 general elections.

The adjustments to the numbering of the circuits occur specifically in these two provinces, especially due to the creation of the province of Panama Oeste, which previously had number 8 assigned to it because it is part of the province of Panama, but which is now assigned the number 13.

As the old West Panama circuits, which were 8-1 / 8-2 / 8-3 and 8-5, no longer existed, the rest of the circuits in the province of Panama were regrouped, reconfiguring themselves.

The circuits of the province of Panamá Oeste will be numbered and composed as follows:

Circuit 13-1 includes the district of Arraiján.

Circuit 13-2 includes the district of Capira.

Circuit 13-3 includes the districts of Chame and San Carlos.

Circuit 13-4 includes the district of La Chorrera.

Meanwhile, the circuits of the province of Panama will be as follows:

Circuit 8-1 includes the districts of Balboa, Chepo, Chimán and Taboga.

Circuit 8-2 includes the district of San Miguelito.

Circuit 8-3 includes the districts of San Felipe, El Chorrillo, Santa Ana, Calidonia, Curundú, Ancón, Bella Vista, Betania and Pueblo Nuevo.

Circuit 8-4 includes the corregimientos of Río Abajo, San Francisco, Parque Lefevre, Juan Díaz and Don Bosco.

Circuit 8-5. It includes the districts of Chilibre, Las Cumbres, Mayor Díaz, Ernesto Córdoba C. and Caimitillo.

Circuit 8-6 Includes the Pedregal, Pacora, San Martín, Tocumen, Las Mañanitas, December 24 and Las Garzas districts.
