From the Simón Bolívar Hall of the Bolivarian University of Venezuela (UBV), the Public Consultation of the Reform Project of the Communication Law of Popular Power was held.
The activity was attended by deputies Juan Carlos Alemán, president of the Permanent Commission of Popular Power and Communication, and Ricardo González, who reported that article 9 of the aforementioned law “was suppressed the legal personality, granted to the National Council State and Municipal Council, and popular adjudication; and articles 11, 15 and 19 were modified in the formation of National, municipal and state Councils.”
In this sense, the parliamentarian stated that these articles refer to the number of spokespersons that are necessary for the election of the State Council, the Municipal Council and the National Communication Council.
In recent days, deputy Juan Carlos Alemán had stated that “community media must adapt to the self-government model.”
