The Superintendence of the Securities Market (SIMV), through its Department of Investor Protection and Education, launched its new financial education tool, it is Pro Inversionista, a platform that will also make the securities market closer and more attractive.
The person in charge of the Investor Protection and Education department, Maria Mercedes Marte detailed the scope of this initiative, which revolves around three fundamental axes: educating, influencing and promoting the Dominican stock market.
Marte also spoke about the dynamics and content that will be promoted via the social networks @ProInversionistaRD. Other objectives of Pro Inversionista are: empowering investors and facilitating financial inclusion through healthy practices and clear and timely information. It will also be a channel to address queries, complaints and claims from investors and potential investors.
The superintendent, Ernesto Bournigal Read, expressed; “We have made a great effort to create truly educational material, the platform has been created for the development of investors.”
During the launch event, he gave several collaborators recognition for their work and performance, in some cases for more than a decade, at the head of the institution giving talks and workshops through the Stock Market School.
Last March, in response to the boom experienced by the stock market, the Superintendency launched a basic guide with all the information and appropriate tools for those interested in investing in the Dominican stock market, available on the institution’s web portal “Discovering investments.”
