Santo Domingo East. – The candidate for mayor for the municipality of Santo Domingo Este, for the Fuerza del Pueblo party, Leandra Acostapresented yesterday a proposal called “Green Point”, as he explained, it will contribute significantly to the cleanliness and decoration of that demarcation.
Acosta pointed out that “Green Points” will consist of placing “tank” containers at strategic points in Santo Domingo Este, for citizens to deposit solid waste, this will be done basically in the vicinity of grocery stores, schools, universities, train stations, metro, public transport vehicle stops, areas where landfills are improvised and other places where large numbers of people circulate, to contribute to the recovery and organization of SDE, in times of so many difficulties that its citizens are going through.
The political leader said that “Green Points” will place 500 containers in the places indicated above and the distribution will begin this week.
“In the next few days our work teams will be mining the entire municipality with these tanks, it is time for all of us to contribute our grain of sand, we cannot sit idly by, it is time to live with less pollution, as well as reduce large accumulations of garbage that cause so much damage to health, “he said.
The SDE mayoral candidate said that the current mayor has not met the expectations of the residents, since the neighborhoods and sectors of the municipality are totally abandoned, lacking a good manager who cares about them and their health.
Regarding his main priorities, he highlighted: The proper management of solid waste, citizen insecurity, more education for youth, organization of transportation through the creation of haughty roads to mitigate traffic jams at all hours of the day, among others.
Acosta, was accompanied by the aspiring councilors of that municipality, including: Francisco Terrero, Fernando Alcántara, Juan Pablo Mateo, Marcial Pinales, Eddy Fajardo, Alcibíades Rosario, Roberto Carlos Vallejo, Leo Aquino, Algel Sención, José Manuel Montero, Mario Mervi Cuevas, Juan Carlos Cuevas, Abad Sánchez, Reina Cabrera, Freddy Castro, Eliezer Portes, Francisco Bonilla (Rubito Gas).
